Designer: Simonis Voogd

Place of production: Jiangsu

Introduction

Adapted with similar sail to displacement ration as her sister FAREAST 26, FAREAST 18 has a modern simplified water line. Equipped with a carbon-fiber keel structure, FAREAST 18 can provide maximum performance with minimum weight. FAREAST 18 is constructed using a polyester/foam-core sandwich which is vacuum infused. This advanced technique guarantees a light and rigid hull. With a length overall of 5.8 meters, FAREAST 18 is very well equipped with high-end deck gear and rigging (by Selden). It delivers one of the best price to quality ratios, making it well received in the market.

The cockpit is spacious and ergonomically optimized to offer good handling and safety. The deck gear is all in the right place for quick and easy handling as all lines are controlled from the cockpit. This small yacht is easy and quick to rig and also simple to take along on a trailer behind the car. The lifting keel and the removable transom-hung rudder enable this easy transport.

The boat has been designed for the family sailor who wants a good day's sailing, but is also suitable for a crew of racing enthusiasts. The relatively large cockpit seats four sailors with ease. The cabin has ample storage space and three berths. The interior is neat and tidy while the stylish windows make the interior light with an airy open feeling to it.
