FAR EAST Won Double Awards onASAF Cup Keelboat Regatta & China Cup

On 30th October, the ASAF Cup Keelboat Regatta and China Cup International Regatta 2016 were closed in Shenzhen Daya Bay. During three days, 19 teams from 11 countries and regions driving FAREAST 28R had 4 rounds of race in China Cup. And on the Sailing Spirit Grand Ceremony of the 10th China Cup International Regatta 2016, Far East was awarded the Outstanding Organization of the Decade. FAREAST 23R won the award of Performance Boat of the Year (5-10m).

Strong Teams, Fierce Races

The 2016 ASAF Cup Keelboat regatta was co-organized by ASAF and CYA, providing a great opportunity for Asian sailing lovers to communicate with international players. FAREAST 28R is chosen as the only racing boat, attracting 10 Asian teams. After fierce competition, Team Singapore won the overall winner, Team Oman of 5 years’ history won the second.Team Malaysia, the star team of ASAF won the third. And Union Team representing Chinese Yachting Association got the fourth. 

In the classic FAREAST 28R One Design Class, the Southern Cross Racing of Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, champion of 2015 FAREAST 28 Class, came again and won champion again. HKUST business school Alumni Team won the second. Facing so many strong teams, the two membership teams of Shanghai Sailing Club, ASIA Team and Team Morning Star also did great job. Though the changeable weather is big challenge, ASIA Team performed confidently and won the third. Team Morning Star won the fifth.

FAR EAST Entitled Outstanding Organization of the Decade.

During the regatta, Sailing Spirit Grand Ceremony of the 10th China Cup International Regatta 2016 was opened in Shenzhen Dapeng New District. Awards were given to praise those contributing to sailing culture’s promotion.Far East was awarded the Outstanding Organization of the Decade. FAREAST 23R, flagship of Far East is the only Chinese brand nominated and won the award of Performance Boat of the Year (5-10m). In the jury team you can find sailing experts and masters, even vice president of World Sailing.
