Far East Won Recognition at 2016 World Sailing Annual Conference

The 2016 World Sailing Annual Conference was held in Barcelona, Spain from November 5th to 13th. Far East, the biggest OPTIMIST builder in the world, is the first to host a lunch at the World Sailing Annual Conference on November 7th.Mr. Carlo Croce, World Sailing’s present president and Mr. Li Quanhai, vice president of World Sailing gave speech in the lunch. They highly appreciated Far East’s technology innovation at boat manufacturing and great contribution to promote sailing in China and globally. And Mr. Carlo specially mentioned that Far East is the biggest OPTIMIST builder in the world for 10 years, and founded International FAREAST 28R Class Association in 2015. 

During the Annual Conference, Mrs. Demolar Du, president of Far East gave gifts—wooden model of OPTIMIST, which is meaningful to youths—to Mr. Carlo Croce and delegates. To promote youth sailing, Far East launched “OPTIMIST Asian and Sailing .Developing Nations Support Plan 2016-2020” in 2015, with the hope that kids from all around the world can have the chance to learn sailing and have their own boat.
