Now, led by Mrs. Demolar Du, Almost hundred of colleagues in Far East Technology are making contributions to the development of sailing sports in China. Far East Technology is not just the only world-famous sailboat brand from China but also the pioneer enterprise in diversifying a sailboat brand. Far East Technology has over 60 dealers in the world covering 50 countries. Starting in 2010, the company began its involvement in club operations and sailing trainings, and succeeded in hosting a commercial regatta at Dishui Lake in Shanghai, opening up the field of commercial regattas.

Manufacturing

Far East Technology is headquartered in Shanghai, and has its production base in Jiangsu Province. Its product line covers international class racing boats, centerboard sailboats, keelboats, multi-hulls and rib boats.

Far East Technology has accumulated powerful R&D strengths and professional quality, helping its manufacturing process meet the strict standards of the World Sailing. Collaborate with European famous boat design office Simonis Voogd, Far East Technology has launched several keelboats, which also won the domestic market. Besides Far East Boats’s international racing sailboat, FAREAST 18/18R，FAREAST 26，FAREAST 31R, FAREAST 28R, FAREAST 23R and the newest FAREAST 19R  have become the first choices of Chinese sailing enthusiasts and have won several awards in some famous international boat shows.

Professional teamwork ensures advances in all fields including massive manufacturing: the most outstanding examples are the company’s completion of 300 OPTIMISTOPTIMISTs for delivery to a Finnish race in 2008, and 234 flag boats completed within two months for the Shanghai Expo.

Sailing club and certification service

Far East Technology has been involved in sailing club operation, sailing training, and certification since 2010. Besides the Shanghai Sailing Club on Dianshan Lake, Far East Technology has opened clubs on Shanghai’s Dishui Lake .

The Shanghai Sailing Club mainly provides sailing experience, summer camp, team building, membership services, international sailing training, and support and operation of events both in China and abroad.Since opening, its summer camp welcomed over 2,600 children, the number of club members has continued to grow. 

To meet demand, Far East Boats introduced the ASA (American Sailing Association ) training system in 2012 and set up a number of branch schools throughout the country. Since then, the Shanghai Sailing Club has cooperated with Shanghai sailboat and sailboard associations, set up the SYA training system in 2012.. At this point, almost 3,500 people have been trained by the Shanghai Sailing Club.

Event operation and support

To date, Far East Technology has succeeded in hosting or providing equipment and technical support for over 50 international and national regattas, including the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, the 2010 Asia Games in Guangzhou, the 2010 China Cup International Regatta, the 2011 OPTIMIST Class World Championship Games in New Zealand, the 2012 OPTIMIST Class World Championship Games in Dominica, the 2013 LASER Class Championship Games for Women , the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, the 2015 HKODA National and Open Championship and the 2016 Cinnamon OPTIMIST Asian&Oceanian Championship. Excellent performance in the races helped the Far East brand achieve worldwide reputation.

Besides international regattas, Far East Technology begun to operate commercial regattas, and has hosted the China City Club Regatta at Dishui Lake with the support of CYA and local government. The company welcomed 14 fleets from all over the country and hosted an audience of 20,000. And several large scale regattas were held successfully in the next two years, including 2015 Shanghai Sailing Carnival & International Regatta Series, 2015 China Sailing Clubs Regatta & Lingang International Sailing Grand Prix and Shanghai 2016 FAREAST CUP International Sailing Regatta. Moreover, each year more than 10 races of Shanghai Sailing Club Leagues are carried on.
