KIELER YACHT-CLUB TO HOST THE FAREAST 28R WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2020!

Kieler Yacht-Club has been selected to host the FAREAST 28R World Championship 2020!  The World Championship will take place between 10-16th of AUGUST 2020.

Kieler Yacht-Club and the International FAREAST 28R Class association ecpects over 40 boats to participate at the World Championship. The strong presence in the Nordics, and the location and ease of transport to Kiel, makes travel very easy and accessible from all over Europe.

“Except from the Worlds, We are also happy to announce that we will add the FAREAST 28R as class to Kiel Week in 2020, which will give the sailors a good opportunity to get familiar with the waters for the upcoming Worlds” says Dirk Ramhorst, Head of Regatta Organization at Kieler Yacht-Club.

“We are very pleased to appoint Kieler Yacht-Club as the organizer for our World Championship” says Ms. Demolar DU, President of the FAREAST 28R International Class Association. “Not only is the World Championship returning toEurope, but also beeing sailied on Olympic water where many Championships has been taken place.” Ms Demolar continues.

The race village will be placed in Laboe on the eastern side of the Kiel bay where the German Fareast agent, Diamond Yachts, are located. This location offers a variety of accommodations and activities for the crews and their families.
