CCOR Welcomes 3 Flagships from FAREAST

The 7^th City Clubs Open Regatta International (CCOR) was closed in Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center on 27^th April, 2016. This regatta gathered classic FAREAST 26, the popular World Sailing One Design Class FAREAST 28R and new FAREAST 23R. All these three boats come from national sailing brand—Far East Boats. In the four days’ 8 races,50 teams were fighting for the championship and bigprize—oneFAREAST 23R.

The One Design Class FAREAST 28R, the most popular class of last year, continues the legendary. All the 20 entries of the Organization Committee were soon taken just after released. Qingdao Yinhai International Yacht Club and Qingdao Qianhang Sailing Club even brought their own boats to take part in the regatta. Sailors from Netherlands, Australia, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Qingdao were attracted to the competition in Qingdao Fushan Bay.

Actually the cooperation of Far East Boats and CCOR started 7 years ago when CCOR was just established. FAREAST 26 is the One Design Class Group since the very beginning. For FAREAST 28R, it is her second CCOR tour. And FAREAST 23R soon became the new star after showing up.

Different from FAREAST 28R class, there are many new faces in FAREAST 23R class. CCOR General Secretary Mr. Qu Chun said, “FAREAST 23R is the best choice of its size for new sailors and regattas. She is cost effective and of great fun!” In this regatta all sailors from abroad and home showed us the spirit “sport has no boundary” thoroughly.

After 8 competitiveraces, the champions of FAREAST 23R,FAREAST 28R and FAREAST 26 go to Team Dream Huihaikusheng Workshop,the Second Team of Shanghai Old Sailors and Turquoise sailing team from Japan respectively. Team Dream Huihaikusheng Workshop got the boat FAREAST 23R as the prize, which was presented by Mrs. Demolar, the president of Shanghai Far East Boats. One more good news is, 2016 FAREAST CUP International Sailing Regatta will be held in the coming May. All prizes for the champion to the 3^rd place are boats sponsored by Far East Boats. Far East Boats’ intention is to encourage more sailing lovers to join in sailing and contribute to sailing’s development in China.
