FAREAST 19R showd on 2017 CIBS

April 2017

The 22th China (Shanghai) International Boat Show, the largest and the most prestigious boat show in Asia, has drawn open on April 26th. Far East Boats showed new FAREAST 19R, the classic FAREAST 23R, FAREAST 11 and various versions of OPTIMIST Class dinghies. Cooperating with Shanghai Sailing Club, Far East Boats also provide a waterpool for children to sail OPTIMIST dinghies, giving them a hands-on sailing experience.

The new FAREAST 19R, inheriting the gene of the Far East racing keelboats and combining the sailing ideas of pleasure, fashion and excitement, was launched at the boat show. Mr. Yang Xinfa, the Vice president of CBITA, together with Mrs. Demolar Du unveils this new boat. FAREAST 19R is very easy to control and very comfortable for the crew. She is very responsive and agile with good maneuverability. She can be a good single-hander or double-hander. The draft is only 1.2m and you can sail her almost in any waters all over the country.

As a dark horse among the 2017 new boat launches, FAREAST 19R has been a racing class in the 2017 City Clubs Open Regatta International (CCOR) from April 22nd to 26th. 3 to 4 sailors can make a team to sail this maneuverable boat, which attracts many sailors to have a try. After the regatta, sailors commented, “FAREAST 19R is really a Sailing ‘SMART’ and it’s so awesome to sail it against the winds!”
