Far East becomes Official Supplier of 2017 OPTIMIST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

2017 OPTIMIST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP will be held during July 11th to 21st at Royal Varuna Yacht Club (RVYC), Thailand. This championship welcomes approximately 300 Optimist sailors from 62 countries. Far East brand will be one of official suppliers of championship and also provide great support on the site service for this world class event.

In this April, OPTIMIST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Test Event was held in Thailand. Optimist sailors flew in from China Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Costa Rica, Japan, Kuwait and France to participate with the Thailand National Optimist team. The 66 participants took it all in their stride and made the regatta a great success. Beautiful sunny days and superb winds of up to 19 knots made the four day sailing event a true challenge for these young sailors.

The Royal Varuna Yacht Club, located just outside the city of Pattaya in the residential area of Pratamnak Hill. The racing area is located immediately offshore from the Yacht Club in the Gulf of Thailand, between the mainland and Koh Larn. With large facilities, strong infrastructure and fantastic sailing conditions, the RVYC will welcome all sailors with warm Thai hospitality. Racers, support teams and spectators can expect sunshine, warm water and good sailing breezes during the event.
