Shanghai 2016 FAREAST CUP International Sailing Regatta Opens in Dishui Lake

Shanghai 2016 FAREAST CUP International Sailing Regatta opens in Shanghai Dishui Lake on 12th May, 2016. Mrs. Demoalr Du, president of Shanghai Far East Boats and guests from all circles attended the opening ceremony. 

The prizes of FAREAST CUP are boats sponsored by national sailing brand Far East Boats. And the racing boat used in this regatta isthe popular keelboat FAREAST 23R. About 30 teams will take part in this great event. They are international teams from Sweden, Netherlands, U.S.A, Canada and Australia, and national teams from more than 10 citiesall around China. Far East Boats is aiming to build an international regatta brand located in Shanghai.

To further promote sailing’s influence among youths, special complementary activities will be held during FAREAST CUP, including OPTIMIST Sailing Experience and “Little Boat Builders”. Kids will learn how to build and operate an OPTIMIST. Gettingkids interested in sailing is the first step for youths’ sailing education.
