FAREAST 28R in Tongzhou Bay Cup Sailing Regatta 2016

The Tongzhou Bay Cup Sailing Regatta 2016 was successfully held in Nantong, Jiangsu Province from 10th to 11th September. As the event co-organizer, Shanghai Far East Boats supports this regatta greatly. Except the classic FAREAST 28T One Design Class, there is one more class specially set for youths—the OPTIMIST Class. Sailors of all ages compete fiercely and provide us a great sailing race in Tong Zhou Bay.

The youngest sailor of OPTIMIST Class is only 7-years-old. Li Xinyi from Wuxi Shanshui Club won the champion of Boy’s Group A, and Chen Xinran from Nanjing Whisper of The Wind Team won the champion of Girl’s Group A. And champions of Boy’s Group B and Girl’s Group B all come from Nanjing Whisper of The Wind Team. They are Tang Zekai and Zhang Yixuan. During Tongzhou Bay Regatta, Shanghai 2016 OPTIMIST Championship is held in Shanghai and also uses OPTIMIST as the racing boat. 

As the co-organizer of the First Tongzhou Bay Cup Sailing Regatta 2015, Shanghai Far East Boats again brought One Design Class—FAREAST 28R. And Xiamen City University CST Team won the overall champion.

In the two days’ race, sailors gave us an excellent show of sailing race, and told a story of “Wind and Sails”. They also enjoyed the vitality and energy of this coastal city.
