Day two of 2018 FAREAST 28R World Championship

The weather at Fuxian lake was slightly better during the second day of the FAREAST 28R World Championship. We see that the crew’s are getting more familiar to the boats and the lake conditions. The rounding and starts are getting more tight and intense.

Race three to five was raced with wind between 6-11 knots which was more stable than yesterday. The two Philippine teams raced very well, and many sailors were surprised about their overall performance and boat handling. By the end of the day Team Standard Insurance 1 was on top of the leader board, and their second team on place 4!

The current World Champions, Team Griffin from Sweden scored an OCS in race 4, so did also the Singapore team, which moved the down the ranking. The top three boats on the leader board are now from three different continents, that is a real World Championship!
